Re: 178 extension, a pity it's only for peak hours M-F, but I guess it's (slightly) better than nothing.

Montague Markets (Raven St) stops will be added to Route 60 Blue CityGlider this coming Monday to support the growth in the area.

Blue CityGlider - extra stops on Montague Road, West End (https://translink.com.au/updates/343331)

QuoteStarting on Monday 21 August the Blue CityGlider will service two extra stops on Montague Road, West End.

The two new stops are near the Raven Street intersection, close to the new Montague Markets development.

These stops are already serviced by route 192.

The Blue CityGlider will continue to service all other stops as normal, and timetables are not changing.

Additionally, Routes 192 (IB), 199 & N199 will move to a new stop just forward of the existing stop at West End Ferry to improve operations by providing Route 60 with a dedicated layover and bus stop.

West End ferry terminal - bus stop changes (https://translink.com.au/updates/338061)

QuoteFrom Monday 21 August, route 192, 199, and N199 will service a new stop on Orleigh Street near Morry Street, approximately 30m away.

The Blue CityGlider (route 60) will continue to use the current stop at Orleigh Street at West End.

There are no timetable changes, but please update your MyTranslink app favourite stops if you use travel from here.

From next week, Route 335 will be permanently re-routed via Kittyhawk Drive and service Chermside stops on Hamilton Road in both directions due to Northern Transitway works (and associated temporary stop arrangements) and to provide consistent stops with Route 325 in both directions. This will also help avoid inbound services having to undertake the slow loop around via Wallace & Farnell Streets.

Route 335 - permanent stop changes (https://translink.com.au/updates/356381)

QuoteFrom Monday 9 October, route 335 will be changing due to construction along Gympie Road.

There will be some minor timetable changes and some stops near Chermside Shopping Centre will no longer be serviced by route 335.

Check out your updated timetable or plan your journey to see how the changes impact you. Don't forget to use a date from Monday 9 October.

From next Monday, in addition to the King George Square and Queen St stop changes, a number of northern routes and some eastern routes are having minor timetable adjustments. This is primarily for peak trips whereby there is potentially excess time in a number of segments along the route. Whilst overall run times will not be changing (for now), most cases will see any extra time pushed towards the end of the trip, reducing the likelihood and need for drivers to be dwelling mid-route to wait for the timetable to catch up.

Timetable changes for some Brisbane buses (https://translink.com.au/updates/389966)

QuoteFrom Monday 11 December, we're delivering minor timetable adjustments for 32 bus services across Greater Brisbane to better reflect actual travel times and make your journey more reliable.

Affected services include routes:
  • 214, P201, P206, P207, P208, P211, P216, P217, P221, P228, P231, P236
  • 325, 330, 333, 335, 340, 345, 346, 350, 351, 352, 353, 357, 359, 370,  P331, P332, P341, P343 and P344.

Your bus may arrive a little earlier or later than currently scheduled.

Please ensure you plan your journey before travelling (using a date from 11 December) to see how the changes affect you.

Additionally, the current 7am outbound 150 starting at Garden City Depot will be extended to operate the full length of the route and commence from Queen St at 6:40am.

QuoteWe're also adding an early morning trip for route 150 - travelling from Queen Street station to Browns Plains station (via Upper Mount Gravatt) at 6:40am. Giving you greater travel options and helping make your mornings a little bit easier.

achiruel

^ seems even with the changes, the 150 doesn't fit the BUZ definition (every 15 minutes, 6am-11:30pm).

No OB service leaving until 6:40am, and 40 minutes between that and the next service.

From Monday 15 April, Routes 77, P332, 333 & 340 will have additional stops added in relation to the Northern Transitway works and to improve coverage of high frequency services along the growing Gympie Rd/Lutwyche Rd corridor.

Travel easier on the Northern Transitway (https://translink.com.au/updates/446886)

QuoteFrom Monday 15 April, the newest section of the Northern Transitway (between Sadlier Street and Rode Road) will be open – bringing you a smoother, less congested journey.

To make the most of the transitway's dedicated bus lanes and provide more people with access to a high frequency stop, we're adding routes 77, 333, 340, and P332 to eight bus stops in Kedron and Windsor.

At these stops you'll be able to catch a bus to or from the city every five minutes or better during peak (6-9am and 3-6pm weekdays) so you'll spend less time waiting.

To support your weekend travel, we're also delivering better frequency at these stops on Saturdays - with buses departing every 15 minutes or better.

As the transitway separates buses and general traffic, we're able to add stops without increasing your overall journey time - meaning your timetable won't change.

The added stops for routes 77, 333, 340 and P332 are:

Inbound
- Gympie Road at Rode Road, Kedron
- Gympie Road near Strathmore Street, Kedron
- Gympie Road at Sadlier Street, Kedron
- Truro Street, platform 1, Windsor

Outbound
- Truro Street, platform 2, Windsor
- Gympie Road at Cremorne Road, Kedron
- Gympie Road at Strathmore Street, Kedron
- Gympie Rd at Rode Road, Kedron

The remaining section of the transitway (from Rode Road to Hamilton Road) will be undertaken under a new contract in the future.

To plan your journey use the MyTranslink app or call us anytime on 13 12 30.

Just change the number and network at one go as it just adds confusion. Its already confusing as it is now depending on the time of day, if its a school term, if its a private school term and if the moon is aligned correctly with Pluto.

In addition to the planned changes to peak services, there will also be some changes to Logan Bus routes running between Springwood & Eight Mile Plains, related to construction on the Rochedale Park N Ride.

While not confirmed in the statement, given the location of the alternative stops for the 576 & 577, I think the buses are going to start using the busway through the future station site.

QuoteRoute 598 travelling towards Sherwood and Moorooka will service Indooroopilly Shopping Centre, before terminating at stop 53 on Coonan Street at Indooroopilly station, outside the Eldorado Cinema.

To continue your journey, catch a train from Indooroopilly station to travel to Chelmer,  Graceville, or Sherwood stations.

Are these Brisbane's first ever bus-replacement train services?

Quote from: OzGamer on September 04, 2024, 15:03:41 PMAre these Brisbane's first ever bus-replacement train services?

I think so! I certainly can't remember it happening before!

SurfRail

This sort of thing should work fine because the trains run relatively frequently all day every day (hint, hint...) - barring some annoying little patches like Sunday morning.  I'd have to check but got a feeling none of these bus services operate during that window anyway - the 105 is the only one that even runs on Sundays at all.

Ride the G:

achiruel

On Sundays, the outbound Ipswich train arrives Graceville :20 to connect with :31 inbound bus.
The outbound bus arrives Graceville :06, and the inbound Caboolture train departs :17.

Not the best transfer time, but not terrible, considering a bus with a 2-hour frequency, you wouldn't want to miss it!
