Eagle Farm bus stop change and diversion

On Wednesday 17 August between 1pm and 7pm, bus stops 22 (approaching Lancaster Road) and 23 (approaching Beatrice Street) Racecourse Road, Ascot will be closed for the Exhibition Race Day at Eagle Farm Racecourse.

Racecourse Road, Eagle Farm bus stop change

From Monday 15 August, outbound bus stop 23 on Racecourse Road will be temporarily relocated due to roadworks.

This relocation will be in place for approximately three weeks.

Noosa Junction service changes

From Monday 29 August, some Sunshine Coast bus services will change to take advantage of the new $10 million Noosa Junction station.

Most changes will be quite minor, with routes beginning to service the station, but there will also be some more significant changes such as route diversions and timetable adjustments.

TransLink staff will be available to answer questions and provide updated timetables at the following locations:

Services will access Noosa Junction station before terminating at Noosa Heads.
A minor diversion will be followed at David Low Way, Sunshine Beach allowing changes to be made to route 627.

Route 622 - Noosa to Maroochydore via Peregian Springs

Services will access Noosa Junction station to set down passengers and conclude the journey.
The bus stops on Sunshine Beach Road will no longer be serviced by this route.
New bus stops have been installed at Peregian Springs to improve access to public transport in the area.

Route 626 - Sunrise Beach to Tewantin via Noosa Junction

Services will access Noosa Junction station and then follow the normal route.

Route 627 - Sunshine Beach to Tewantin via Noosa Junction

Services will access Noosa Junction station.
The one-way loop at Sunshine Beach will be removed. Services will travel via Solway Drive, Belmore Terrace and Duke Street (in both directions) and terminate at the Ed Webb Park bus stop.
From Monday 29 August, the stops on Pacific Avenue will not be serviced by this route (route 620 will service these stops).

Route 628 - Noosa Junction to Parklands via Noosa Civic and Tewantin

Services will access Noosa Junction station to set down passengers and conclude the journey; Noosa Heads station will no longer be serviced by this route. Passengers can still access Noosa Heads station by transferring onto routes 620, 622, 626, 627 or 629.
Route will service the northern section of Golf Course Drive for the first time; however, Harlow Court and the southern end of Golf Course Drive will no longer be serviced to make the route more direct.
A minor diversion will be followed at Moorindil Street, Tewantin, where the route will travel via Werin Street to improve access to public transport in the area.

Route 629 - Noosa Junction to Tewantin via Noosa Civic

Services will access Noosa Junction station to set down passengers and conclude the journey.
To improve service coverage, services will no longer service Weyba Road (from the intersection of Weyba Road, Reef Street and Gibson Road), Leslie Drive and Cooyar Street. The new route will travel from Reef Street via Weyba Road, Noosa Parade and Noosa Drive concluding at Noosa Junction station. Passengers wishing to access the bus stops on Weyba Road, Leslie Drive and Cooyar Street are advised to interchange at Noosa Civic on to route 628.
Minor diversions will be followed at Beckmans Road, Tewantin (to provide a service to Noosaville Primary School) and at Moorindil Street, Tewantin (to improve access to public transport in the area).
Services will no longer service the Noosa National Park bus stop to improve safety for road users in the area.

Route 630 - Noosa to Nambour via Eumundi

Services will access Noosa Junction station to set down passengers and conclude the journey.

Route 631 - Noosa to Nambour via Cooroy and Yandina

Route 632 - Noosa to Cooran via Pomona and Tewantin

Services will access Noosa Junction station to set down passengers and conclude the journey; Noosa Heads station will no longer be serviced by this route.
Passengers can still access Noosa Heads station by interchanging onto routes 620, 622, 626, 627 or 629.

Coorparoo West bus stop changes

From Monday 29 August, changes will be made the Coorparoo West bus stops near Old Cleveland Road, to coincide with the opening of the newest section of the Eastern Busway.

Removal of Coorparoo West, Main Avenue (inbound) bus stop

The inbound Coorparoo West, Main Avenue (Old Cleveland Road) bus stop will be removed.

The following services will be affected:

route 200 (Carindale to City)
route P206 (Carindale to City)
route P207 (Carina to City)
route 209 (Carindale to University of Queensland)
route 222 (Carindale to Roma Street busway station).

The nearest stop available for route P206, route P207, route 209 and route P222 buses is the new Langlands Park busway station (approximately 194 metres away).

The closest available stop for route 200 buses is the Easts Leagues Club (approxmately 150 metres away).

Service changes for buses using Coorparoo West, Old Cleveland Road (outbound) stop

The following services will no longer use the outbound stop located at Coorparoo West on Old Cleveland Road, from Monday 29 August:

route P206 (City to Carindale)
route P207 (City to Carina)

Broadbeach temporary road closures

From 1pm Friday 19 August to 10pm Sunday 21 August, there will be road closures in place along Surf Parade (between Queensland Avenue and Victoria Avenue) due to the Broadbeach Blues Festival.

Both inbound and outbound stops on Capricornia Avenue will be closed during this time.

An alternative southbound stop is located 350 metres away at Broadbeach Mall (Victoria Avenue) and an alternative northbound stop is located 400 metres away at Broadbeach Mall (Surf Parade).

During these closures, route 750 (both inbound and outbound) will divert through local streets.

Capricornia Avenue, Surf Parade (approaching Queensland Avenue)
Capricornia Avenue, Surf Parade (opposite, approaching) Capricornia Avenue.

Garden City Interchange bus stop changes

Minor bus stop changes will be made at Garden City Interchange for the introduction of a new cross-town, high frequency service on Monday 29 August.

The new route 590 service, travelling from Garden City to Number 1 Airport Drive, will use stop B.

No changes will be made to other services or stops at this interchange.

From Monday 29 August, bus stop changes will be made at Carindale Interchange to cater for the introduction of new services.

Stops A to D

There will be no changes to services that use these stops.

Stop E

The new route 590 bus services service travelling to Garden City from Number 1 Airport Drive, Eagle Farm will use this stop.

Stop F

The new route P217 service (Carindale to City) and route 222 (Carindale to Roma Street busway station) bus services will use this stop.

Stop G

The new route 213 service (Carindale via Belmont to Cannon Hill) will use this stop.

Stop H

New route 590 bus services travelling to Number 1 Airport Drive from Garden City will use this stop.

Changes to 250 and 270 services on Logan Rd

From Monday 29 August, route 250, route N250 and route 270 along Logan Road will be changing to coincide with the opening of the newest section of the Eastern Busway

Route 250 and route 270 will no longer stop at the inbound stop in Stones Corner (near Old Cleveland and Logan Roads).

Route 250, route N250 and route 270 will no longer stop at the outbound stop in Stones Corner (near Old Cleveland and Logan Roads).

Customers who use these services from Logan Road will need to make their way to the new Stones Corner busway station, approximately 200 metres away.

New route 29 from Woolloongabba to UQ

From Monday 29 August, the new inner city bus route 29 will get you from Woolloongabba to UQ Lakes in less than 10 minutes, stopping at PA Hospital, Boggo Road and Dutton Park along the way.

Route 29 will operate every 15 minutes between 7am and 7pm, Monday to Friday during UQ uni semesters.

It's easy to connect to the rest of the network as there are plenty of services that leave from major busway stations along the route, like PA Hospital and Woolloongabba.

And remember, more frequent services means less time waiting, so you can just turn up and go!

The introduction of new route 29 will allow route 209 buses to now travel a faster route to and from UQ through the new Eastern Busway.

New P205 service for Scrub Road/Carindale Heights

Residents in Carindale Heights and along Scrub Road (between Cribb Road and Aspen Street) will have access to public transport services for the first time from Monday 29 August.

New route P205 will run from Carindale Heights on Scrub Road to the city, via Carindale, the Buranda busway station and the Captain Cook Bridge. It won't enter the Carindale bus interchange; instead, the service will stop outside the shopping centre on Winstanley Street.

Route P205 will run every 10 minutes between 6 and 9am, and 4pm and 7pm, Monday to Friday only, and will be a pre-paid service. You must have a valid TransLink go card or paper ticket before boarding.

From Monday 29 August, new route 213 will give Cannon Hill and Belmont residents a fast and frequent peak hour service to Carindale, with quick connections to the city on route 200 and route P222.

A local service, route 213 will run from Cannon Hill Shopping Centre to the Carindale bus interchange every 10 minutes between 6am-9am and 4pm-7pm, Monday to Friday.

The service will recognise the same stops at current route 215 along Wynnum, Belmont and Meadowlands Road, and Baynes, Cadogan and Bedivere Streets to Carindale.

Get to the city sooner with new route P217

From Monday 29 August a new pre-paid service will get passengers to and from the city faster in peak hours.

Beginning at the Carindale bus interchange, route P217 will run via the new Langlands Park and Stones Corner busway stations and the Captain Cook Bridge, before stopping at new Queen Street stop 61 (near Wharf Street).

Route P217 will operate every 10 minutes between 6am and 9am, and 4pm and 7pm, Monday to Friday only, and will be a pre-paid service. You must have a valid TransLink go card or paper ticket before boarding.

New high frequency, cross town route 590

From Monday 29 August, leave the car at home and catch TransLink's first high frequency, cross town service from Garden City to Number 1 Airport Drive.

Route 590 will operate from the Garden City Shopping Centre to Number 1 Airport Drive, via the Cannon Hill Shopping Centre, Carindale bus interchange and Gateway Motorway. Four different shopping centres will be serviced - Westfield Garden City, Westfield Carindale, Cannon Hill Shopping Centre and the Airport DFO.

Route 590 will operate:

between 5.30am and 7pm, Monday to Friday, and 7am and 7pm weekends and public holidays
every 15 minutes during peak and every 30 minutes off peak (including weekends and public holidays).
Residents along Creek Road will have access to Sunday and public holiday services for the first time.

Could this suggestion go off to TL? I don't think it needs a media release or anything like that, maybe one for the PTAG.
I know that there already is a bus to DFO from Toombul, perhaps just combine it. Seems silly that there isn't cross-town access to a MAIN RAIL and MAIN BUS interchange and MAIN shopping centre!

Cross town services really need good connections and interchange!

Logan Central bus diversions

Route 553 and some school bus services are diverted due to a recent police incident at Wagensveldt Street, Logan Central:

Inbound services will divert via Meakin Road, left onto Edna Street, right onto Wagensveldt Street, then return to normal route.
Outbound services will divert via Wagensveldt Street, onto Edna Street, onto Meakin Road, then return to normal route.
Regular bus stops in Veldt Street and in Wagensveldt Street (between Veldt and Edna Streets) will not be serviced until the area is reopened.

Burleigh Heads National Park temp stop closure

From Wednesday 31 August until approximately Wednesday 21 September, the Burleigh Heads National Park stop on the Gold Coast Highway (opposite Ikkina Road) will be temporarily closed for maintenance works.

Route 526 diverted due to roadworks

Due to roadworks on Redbank Plains Rd, route 526 buses (Orion Springfield Town Centre to Redbank) will not be able to access Argyle St from Redbank Plains Rd and will revert to the previous route used prior to changes on August 1.

From 9am Tuesday 6 September to 3pm Thursday 8 September, outbound bus stop 37 on Shaw Road (approaching Cressey Street), Wavell Heights will be temporarily closed due to roadworks.

Logan Road, Stones Corner bus stop diversions

On Sunday 11 September, from 4am until 2pm,Logan Road at the Stones Corner shops precinct (between Montague Street and Old Cleveland Road) will be closed to buses due to the Jan Powers Farmers Market.

Bridge to Brisbane bus stop changes and diversions

From 2.30am until 12 noon on Sunday 11 September, some road closures will be in place due to the Bridge to Brisbane Fun Run, including:

Kingsford Smith Drive
Breakfast Creek Road
Inner City Bypass (ICB)
Lytton Road.

As part of the road closures, some route diversions and bus stop changes will be in place.

Inbound services will travel as normal to Racecourse Road, Ascot, right into Windemere Road, Hamilton, right into Kitchener Street, left into Lancaster Road, left into Anthony Street, right into Crosby Road, left into Abbotsford Road to St Pauls Terrace, left into Brookes Street, right into Ann St, then the normal route.
Outbound services will travel as normal to Wickham Street, left into Brookes Street, right into St Pauls Terrace to Abbotsford Road, right into Crosby Road, left into Anthony Street, right into Lancaster Road, right into Kitchener Street, left into Windemere Road, left into Racecourse Road, then the normal route.

Route 303

The 10.05am service to Eagle Junction will travel via Serpentine Road, left into McBride Street, left into Eagle Farm Road into Main Myrtletown Road, left into Lomandra Drive, left into Airport Drive, left into Nudgee Road, left into Lamington Avenue and then the normal route.

Route 590 (from first service until 9.30am)

To Number 1 Airport Drive, will travel normal route to Cannon Hill, then depart Cannon Hill Interchange via Creek Road, right into Wynnum Road, left onto the Gateway Motorway, and then continue as normal.
To Garden City, will travel normal route to the Gateway Motorway, exit onto Wynnum Road, left into Creek Road and then continue as normal from the Cannon Hill Interchange.

Bell Street temporary stop relocation

From Tuesday 18 October, for approximately eight weeks, buses servicing Bell Street stop 2 will be temporarily split across two new temporary stops on Bell Street.

Routes 514 and 515 will service a temporary stop located further up Bell Street, at the current kiss 'n' ride, outside Ipswich station.

Wonder if Bretts wharf was given a clean up before the Queen walked along it!

Bell Street temporary stop relocation at Ipswich

Stop 1 (located on the Western side of Bell Street)

From Friday 4 November, Bell Street stop 1 (located on the Western side of Bell Street) will be temporarily relocated for approximately two weeks, to allow for important construction works to upgrade the Bell Street precinct.

Passengers looking to catch routes 500, 502, 503, 506, 509, 512, 513, 514, 515 or 516 should proceed to the temporary new location of stop 1 located approximately 25 metres further up Bell Street, towards Ipswich station.

Once these construction works are completed stop 1 will return to its original location.

Stop 2

From Friday 4 November, for approximately two weeks, Bell Street stop 2 will be temporarily closed and services will be split across three new temporary stops on Bell Street. The kiss 'n' ride located near Ipswich station will also close.

Routes 514 and 515 will move back to the original stop 2 located outside the Chemist.

Routes 500, 502, 503, 506, 509, 512, 513 and 516 will use two new temporary stops located outside Brodie's bookstore and the Caledonian Hotel.

Please keep an eye out for future passenger notices.

Once construction works are completed, the three temporary stops will close and all services will return to the original location of stop 2.
