A 17-year-old man sleeping on train tracks, has been hit by a train at South Brisbane station.
Police said the teenager was sleeping underneath the platform alongside the tracks, when he was struck at about 3am.

He suffered a broken leg and a smashed up hand.

He was transported to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital in a stable condition.

A Translink spokesperson said the incident has not impacted train services in the area.
