QR have lots of rules about how passengers are expected to act.  They enforce these rules (at times) quite heavy handed.

They also have rules about the way their staff should act.  Enforcement of these rules seems to be non existent.

Take for example their no smoking on QR property rule.....  (let me state here.. I dont smoke)....

Here is an image taken at a station.....

note the ashtray which is aprox 1 metre from the doorway.....

This sort of situation irks me.  They seem to be so out of touch with community expectations... Not to mention the flouting of the smoking laws that they dont even try to hide it.

Out of curosity Doggo where was it, there are without a doubt some QR staff and Transit officers who tend to let a little authority go to their heads but generally QR staff are helpful and would rather warn or advise than stand over and who set an example by their conduct but human nature being what it is there will always be those who flout the rules

it is at Robina....   but I just used that one as an example... there are several more easily spotted breaches across the network.....

I might add that I have never been harrassed by QR staff or TTO's....   but I have seen firsthand others get some "treatment" which I considered over the top.
