Petition: Extend Kuranda Scenic Rail to locals with public transport prices!

The ONLY way I ever seen kuranda getting wires is after the entire NCL is electrified, and the shocking parts between Mackay and cairns is straightened out.
And even then its unlikely. 

The line is just not competitive speed wise with a bus either.
