The next version of Simple Machines Forum is well advanced.

Development is up to SMF 2.1 release candidate 3 (SMF2.1 RC3)

I have a test forum here using SMF 2.1 RC3:

The forum I have running at

has been upgraded and now is at

> https://railbot.info/forum/index.php SMF 2.1.1  (automatically redirects).

I will be slowly working towards moving this RBoT forum currently SMF 2.0.19 to SMF 2.1.1 (or later as patches available).

It is planned to upgrade this forum from about 1300 hours AEST on the 12th March 2022.

The forum will not be accessible for a number of hours, until upgrade is completed. 

It is anticipated it will be off line for 2 to 3 hours.

Here's hoping for a smooth, swift transition.

The time seems to be on UTC, will this be changed over to Brisbane time in due course?

You need to go into your profile and selected your desired time zone.

It is in look and layout.

Great new update. I think Tapatalk still has problems connecting. They may need to upgrade on their end?

Tapatalk is not installed on this upgraded forum.  They only have a beta version and it has problems.

Sorry, but I cannot risk it at present.

Yes, it is.  Has been for a while now (years), major problem with spam bots.

Is there a way to make this more clear on the register page? I, for one, was rather confused with what to do...
