"Sudnay timetables" is it 1980 again? Weekends and public holidays should be the one timetable which is basically the off-peak timetable.
There are a few differences though.  Sat runs through until 1am Sun while Sun finishes around 11pm.

There's still more differences than there should be.

The late night services should be listed like Friday night on weekday services, so no issue there.
By that logic there is no problem.  All of the discrepancies are listed in this way.

I think Sat AM there are more services to deal with the few commuters on Sat thats still there and Doomben is still Sat only.

The next timetable revision should have no Sunday specific timetable.

That's how weekend services are listed. Its the one timetable but at the top of the column has a few extra codes such as WE for Weekend - Saturday and Sunday services, SAT for Saturday only services and SUN for Sunday only services. Each column also has a colour code. White/clear being weekend services, green for Saturday only services and grey for sunday only services (friday only services also use the green columns). Basically Sunday timetable means that there are no late or very early morning services. It also reflects on running patterns such as some services might continue onto another destination (The Sunday Caboolture-Ipswich service forms into a Caboolture-Rosewood train as the assigned Rosewood shuttle has been moved into position for the Monday peak hour services). The Gympie North services have different timetables because of different assigned paths and rollingstock positioning for the following day etc. On Saturday/Sunday the Caboolture night link trains form the Beenleigh all station services.

And passengers STILL get confused and think the Saturday only trains run on Sunday mornings as well.

I completely agree with RTT though on this one, it is stupid that Sunday morning is still an HOURLY timetable until around 10am, plus no Doomben services.

There should be one Weekend timetable, with later services on Saturday night, just the same as there are later services on Friday night compared to the rest of the week.
All opinions stated are my own and do not reflect those held by my employer.

Passengers still don't know how to open the doors on the remaining handle operated EMUs :-r :-r

Regardless of the frequency/gaps etc I'd ideally like to see the same timetable for Saturday and Sunday with the late night/nightlink services highlighted in a different colour like they currently do with "SAT/SATURDAY ONLY" written above the column. There's only so much you can do for the general public before the just plain clueless people come along. As I said above people still don't know how to open doors even when some have big flashy beeping buttons with signs pointing to them. Its just plain ridiculous the amount of times I have had to yell or point out to someone struggling to find the door buttons on the late night services. Some people still don't even know that you can actually move between the carriages.
