:wi3  About time he earned his salary.  Still short of his pre-election utterences, but a start.  Not much wriggle room to achieve the aim, though.

A good demonstration of the 'election utterance incentive*' principle   ... (*after Dow et al.).

Normally this far out from an election, utterances are quite rare, as elections draw close, the frequency of utterances increases.  Dow was able to show that frequency of utterances was inversely related to time of next election ( Utterance frequency correlates with election timings, Jnl of Silly Things,  Dow R et al, Vol 2, Jan 2008).

Further work is going on to see if the subject content of such utterances has any real coherence ...
Half baked projects, have long term consequences ...

:-r good to see you in good humour, Ozbob.  You gotta laugh when it comes to the SCL, there's nothing else to do.

I wonder whether the SC CRG will be told about QR's deal to sell land behind the Cooroy RSL club to the local council for a shopper carpark, thereby limiting the corridor width through which any realignment may take place.

The details were read to a public meeting of 400 people last night.  The CRG probably will be told it is 'commercial in confidence' or some other twaddle.

The line is boxed in around the Cooroy state school too.  But, as nothing is happening on the line, north or south of Nambour, the problem will remain undiscovered to QR until they take a peak at the issues around 2031.
