On time train performance - August 2012

The AM peak period includes services commencing after 6.00am and arriving at Central before 9.00am.

The PM peak includes services that depart Central after 3.30pm and arrive at their terminating destination before 6.30pm.

The on-time running of City network services is very important to Queensland Rail. We make every effort to ensure our services adhere to the published timetable and that we provide convenient, safe and reliable services for customers.

Our on-time running performance targets are the most stringent in Australia. We aim to operate 99.75% of peak timetabled services, and to have at least 93.77% of those peak services arrive within three minutes and 59 seconds of its scheduled time.

Sometimes our on-time running performance is affected by incidents that are beyond our control, such as onboard medical emergencies, security incidents or severe weather activity. Delays as a result of these incidents are not included in the peak on-time performance results detailed below.
