Robert Dow on rail alert system (7th March 2012)

07 March 2012 , 9:10 AM by Peter Gooch

After the rail debacle last week, a listener emailed the program asking if the Translink rail alert system was still active, as she didn't receive any notifications about delays.

Robert Dow from Rail Back on Track joined the program to explain the system.

My erail alert renewal came up today.

I noticed that it states;

Queensland Rail is introducing eRail Updates, a service providing SMS and email updates for all train services.
eRail Updates is a service that, once registered, informs you when train services have been delayed, disrupted or cancelled by more than 15 minutes via text message to your mobile phone or via email to your nominated email address. The service is available 24/7 and is currently free.

Not sure if it was originally set at 15 minutes, it may well have been.
