Greens still seem to be a policy free zone, despite the rhetoric about "cleaner greener smarter" public transport. I am assuming/hoping their policies will pop up like mushrooms after their campaign launch on the 9th of March. If not, then they're worse than Labor.

Nothing significant from Labor after being caught out about Ferny Grove line. I saw a quote in the paper from Anna Bligh's policies being as "big as the sky". Does that mean 15min train frequencies, focuses on the core etc.? Connecting SEQ 2111? I think I just saw a flying pig  :-w

LNP's 15min frequency plan is to be applauded. I wonder what else will pop up this week?  :-t

Are Family First running in this election?

After the LNP announcement on Ferny Grove, there's been no similar annoucement from Labor, just an empty rebuff. So, LNP are ahead again for a second week.....

CRR is up to IA.

I doubt the LNP will ditch it if funding is approved, and if not, the ALP aren't going to be able to fund it for a long time anyway.

Have a look at NSW effectively refusing Federal money for the Parramatta-Epping rail link.

Failure to commit to CRR is still a big no-no for me.
Me too, but I'm inclined to go with a firm commitment for more frequent trains.  I think the LNP's hand will effectively be forced Re:CRR by increasing congestion on the trains.

True, but they have their alternative Northwest link.... and didn't the Libs in BCC recently vote to endorse CRR?

We live in hope of an LNP transport policy, as opposed to one-off announcements.

Remember, the FG line 15-minute off-peak promise is a 'trial' for two years, so can be revoked after Campbell Newman cements his personal following in the seat of Ashgrove ahead of the election to be held 3 years after 24 March 2012.  Alternatively, he could say 'it works for the FG Line, but our research shows it won't work elsewhere, so we'll halt the experiment at this point.'

A policy that integrates the LNP thinking would be good.  About a month to go.

I think the FG upgrade is a minimum benefit, maximum cost plan.  It should include weekends and evenings.  After all, isn't that where the major benefit of the BUZ program has been, at least in percentage terms?  Perhaps that is partly because of the low baseline, although I'd need some convincing of this.

Still a general transport policy vacuum ...

None the less, interesting results so far this week ...   marking time!

Mr X

My support has not swung since it's position at the beginning of the campaign.
