UQ Lakes bus boost

From Monday 20 February, routes 29 and 209 will be upgraded with increased frequencies and route 192 timetables will be changed to reduce congestion at UQ Lakes bus station.

Significant improvements will be made to route 29:

During university semesters, the service will run every five minutes during peak, and every 10 minutes off-peak, Monday to Friday.
During summer semester and university holidays, the service will run every 10 minutes, Monday to Friday only.

With 12 services running every hour, during peak, you won't have to wait long between buses. You'll also have rapid connections to Boggo Road busway station (for train connections at Park Road) and Woolloongabba busway station (for Eastern bus services).

Route 209 will receive an additional early morning service so that PA Hospital staff can arrive at work before 7am.

Route 29 and 209 will also provide improved peak hour access for staff and visitors to the Ecosciences Precinct.

To improve service reliability and reduce congestion at UQ Lakes bus station changes will be made to route 192 timetables. These changes may be up to 15 minutes during off-peak periods – so please be sure to check the new route 192 timetable.

More information on these exciting service improvements will be added over the coming weeks, so keep checking the website for the latest details and new timetables.
