Richlands - Springfield rail corridor works - escorted tour 31 March 2012

Track Star Alliance have kindly offered to host a tour of the works for the Richlands - Springfield line.

Tour would commence at Richlands (travel by rail to Richlands).  Travel by mini bus along the roads next to the corridor with photo-stops etc.

The only non-week day that we could do this would be a Saturday.  I thought that would be better than during the week, so more can attend.

Well worth a look.

Possible date at this stage is Saturday 3rd March ( if this happens to be election day then we go for an alternate).

Probably meet at Richlands at 10am.  (train arrives Richlands 9.45am)

The urban form around Springfield Station is not dissimilar from what is around Clarkson in Perth where I was yesterday, so the comparison will be interesting.

So far 4 so definitely on.  Track star have confirmed that Saturday3rd March 2012 is fine, so that will be the day (barring snap elections ... lol).

Due to wet weather, Trackstar have suggested we defer this tour.

It is very difficult to get around, so I have suggested Saturday 31st March as alternate.  

Will confirm later.  But for now, tour is postponed.  Sorry, but that is the breaks.
