How do you find all posts by a given member?

On other forums, often you just search for their name as the post author, but leave the search term blank.
On here it forces you to put in a search term, thereby excluding any results that dont have that search term.

Is there any easy way to do it?

The ability to list posts directly was turned off a few years ago due to some privacy issues that arose with others accessing profiles.

An alternate is to use advanced search, it is possible to put a member's user name  in the appropriate field and search term of interest.

Its not really an alternative....That's what I was already trying, as described in the OP.
If a post is only an image then there is no way to search for it.

What sort of privacy issues arose?
It does make things needlessly difficult for very little actual privacy gain, for instance I spent 30min trying to find HTGs 314 bus stop pic. Had to find it manually.

Quite often too, you can remember a post by a remember, but cant remember exactly how they said it, so you dont know what to put as a search term.

In these situations, a list of all users posts that you can quickly backtrack through would be a quick way to do this.

This is how my profile looks if anyone were to access it. I dont see what privacy risk there is. When you view your own it shows the email address, but i have it set to not, so therefore the problem doesn't exist.
Other bits of information, such as time since last logon, are of no consequence. It is the users choice if they add the other details.

Even with that minimal amount of information, could it just be set to only allow profile views by logged in members?

I am happy to reactivate the ability to view others profiles/posts in time.

The people who had concerns have moved on.

People will need time to hide their emails if they so desire.

Will activate it on the 22nd Jan 2012.

Cool. I guess just do a stikcy warning topic to give people a chance to clean up their profile information and hide stuff as necessary.

I think it was the general statistics that had might have had issues.
Negative people... have a problem for every solution. Posts are commentary and are not necessarily endorsed by RAIL Back on Track or its members.

^Cool, someone on the interwebs knows I do 3.78% of my posts in Bus routes Reviewed. Not sure what the issue is  ???
