Queensland Rail seeks feedback

Queensland Rail is putting the call out for Gladstone residents to provide feedback at the first half-yearly Gladstone Community Reference Group (CRG) meeting early next year.
Acting Chief Customer Officer Max Kruse said the Gladstone reference group would follow similar successful groups in Brisbane, which have provided valuable feedback on a number of initiatives important to customers.

"In line with our customer charter commitment on feedback, we value the advice of our customers and this is another step to proactively seeking their input into our operations," Mr Kruse said.

"The program provides customers with an opportunity to learn more about our long distance services and participate in discussion on topics relevant to their region. Topics may range from long distance travel services and infrastructure, to products, facilities and communication.

"Queensland Rail is a customer focused organisation, where customer and community input is a top priority.

"We want to broaden engagement with our regional customers and communities in even more locations across Queensland. We want to listen to what they have to say about our long distance services and invite them to share their thoughts and ideas with us."

Earlier this month Queensland Rail held the first of its regional CRGs in Bundaberg which was well received with 100 per cent attendance and customers coming from as far as 32km away to join in the discussion.

Bundaberg CRG member Ellen Cox said the meeting gave customers and community members an opportunity to speak directly with Queensland Rail staff about rail topics of interest.

"The meeting allowed me to communicate concerns, issues and ideas in a face-to-face environment with a Queensland Rail representative," Ms Cox said.

"I strongly recommend residents in other regional areas take the opportunity to provide important feedback and input into regional rail operations."
