QUESTIONS ON NOTICE (Source: Queensland Government)

The following questions were asked on Tuesday, 29 November 2011. In accordance with the Standing
Orders,  answers  are  required  by  email  to  TableOffice@parliament.qld.gov.au  by  Tuesday,  3 January 2012.

2007     MR  WELLINGTON  ASKED  THE  MINISTER  FOR  TRANSPORT  AND  MULTICULTURAL
AFFAIRS (MS PALASZCZUK)—

With reference to students enrolled at the Sunshine Coast University wanting to catch a public
bus from Nambour to the university—
Will the Minister have the department review bus timetables to better assist students to attend
the university and return to Nambour in a timely manner?

2010     MR   EMERSON   ASKED   THE   MINISTER   FOR   TRANSPORT   AND   MULTICULTURAL
AFFAIRS (MS PALASZCZUK)—

Will the Minister provide details, by individual station, of each station that is unmanned at any
time during operating hours?

2012     MR  RICKUSS  ASKED  THE  MINISTER  FOR  MAIN  ROADS,  FISHERIES  AND  MARINE
INFRASTRUCTURE (MR WALLACE)—
What  are  the  traffic  count  figures  for  2009,  2010  and  2011  for  Gatton  Esk  Road  and  what
increase is expected when the Southern Queensland Correction Centre (Spring Creek) begins
operation in January 2012?

2017     MR  ELMES  ASKED  THE  MINISTER  FOR  TRANSPORT  AND  MULTICULTURAL  AFFAIRS
(MS PALASZCZUK)—

Will the Minister advise if there is a plan in place to replace the Sunshine Coast Sunbus fleet
of diesel-fuelled buses with gas-powered buses and, if so, what is the proposed schedule of
replacements?

2042     MR    DOWLING    ASKED    THE    ATTORNEY-GENERAL,    MINISTER    FOR    LOCAL
GOVERNMENT AND SPECIAL MINISTER OF STATE (MR LUCAS)—
Is the Minister aware of Redland City Council's proposal to install metered parking at Weinam
Creek car park and does the Minister approve of Redland City Council charging for parking,
that is commercial activity on state land designated for park and marine activities?

2045     DR  ROBINSON  ASKED  THE  MINISTER  FOR  MAIN  ROADS,  FISHERIES  AND  MARINE
INFRASTRUCTURE (MR WALLACE)—
With reference to identified traffic flow and safety issues along Shore Street, Cleveland—
(1)     When  will  work  commence  to  signalise  the  previously  acknowledged  high  priority
upgrade of the current roundabout at Shore and Wellington Streets?
(2)     When  will  the  funding  that  was  announced  in  the  2007  State  Budget  ($193,000)  be
expended to improve traffic flow through the intersection of Shore and Gordon Streets
as signalling has not occurred to date at the Shore and Wellington Streets location?
