October delays thus far ... to SC commuters.

UPDATED DAILY
The new timetable was supposed to make the services more reliable by adding 'fat' (extra time) into the timetable.
Our journeys are scheduled up to 10 minutes longer than the pre-June 6 timetable.
Is it more reliable ?

6:14am train sits at Beerwah for 4 minutes. Then slowly crawls from Glasshouse to Beerburrum losing another 4 minutes.
Depart Caboolture 8 minutes late at 8:20am
Announced that train would now run express from Caboolture to Northgate, stopping only at Petrie (to make up time)
Train was overtaken (on other line) by all stations Caboolture service ...

Report of signal fault at Petrie via Twitter, but no announcement of this on train.

Total time lost (TTL) in August 2011 = 295 minutes (that's almost 5 hours)
Average = 12.83 minutes every week day (23 in the month)

Total time lost (TTL) in September 2011 = 184 minutes (that's 3 hours)
Average = 8.18 minutes every week day (22 in the month)

Total time lost (TTL) in October 2011 = 110 minutes (that's over 1 and 1/2 hours) To be fair, subtracted 2 minutes for early arrival on 20/10/2011.
Average = 5.24 minutes every week day (21 so far in the month) as at Monday PM 31 October, 2011.

FARES_FAIR'S NOTE:
Encouraging to see a significant improvement in on time reliability during October, compared to previous results.
Most notable improvement occurring from Monday 10 October, 2011.
Delay of Tuesday October 25 of 12 minutes late into Central ended a dream run of 14 days of world first class punctuality.

QR do a remarkable effort given the infrastructure they have to work with.

This morning's delay (on 25th October) according to the guard of the 7:25am train from Landsborough (ex-Gympie North) was due to "signal failure" on the now infamous single track section between Glasshouse and Beerburrum.  I'm guessing it must've had a knockback effect on the later trains. We were held for 7 minutes just past Glasshouse, hence 7 minutes late.
