WEEKEND travelling around town will be cheaper with a new weekend saver Metcard released by the Brumby Government yesterday, operating with the already established Sunday Saver.

The new 5 x daily ticket for weekend use will cost $14.50, making each of the daily fares $2.90, the same fare as a Sunday Saver.

Public Transport Minister Lynne Kosky said she hoped it would encourage more people to use public transport on weekends.
