40 extra rail services per week perhaps?
40 extra rail services per day would go a long way toward 4TPH offpeak.

ozbob

There has been some additions to peak services over the years, and some Rosewood to Ipswich.  40 sounds a lot but it is only 4 extra each way daily.

It is a spin statement to look a lot better, gee 40 services hey?

Current timetable has 49 inbound weekday services ex-Ipswich.

Feb 09 timetable has 45 inbound weekday services ex-Ipswich.

By my count, which may be wrong.

I love how doing basic stuff like building schools, which is their JOB is seen as being a big achivement on their part.
Shows how egotistical they are.

Quote40 sounds a lot but it is only 4 extra each way daily.

Or "only" 6240 services over the last three years (geez, I wonder what Perth has, must be somewhere around 20 000)

The Honourable Rachel Nolan
05/12/2011

I will stand on my record: Nolan

Ipswich MP Rachel Nolan has said she will stand on her record at the upcoming state election.

"The Bligh Labor Government has delivered more for Ipswich than any other in Queensland's history and we will continue to do so," Ms Nolan said.

Ms Nolan said in the last three years the government delivered:

-$73 million new Bremer State High School - opposed by the LNP

-$6 million new Ipswich Ambulance Station.

-40+ additional train services to Ipswich in the past three years.

-More than $1 million in extra bus services for Ipswich.

-$110.9 million new Ipswich courthouse and police station.

-$366 million Centenary Highway extension to Yamanto.

-$56 million in donated funds disbursed from the Premier's Relief Appeal to flooded Ipswich families.

-$128.7 million - 90 bed Ipswich Hospital expansion.

-$1 million for Bell Street upgrade.

-1200 new public servants moving to Ipswich - underwriting the redevelopment of the CBD

-Protection of Flinders Karawatha - a 60km stretch of bushland south of Ipswich.

This government, in which I hold senior ministerial roles, has delivered major public service improvements to Ipswich.

"I am well aware it's been a controversial time, but I am into action, not hype and this record speaks for itself," Ms Nolan said.

Yawn.... You did your job of funding one school. Big whoop, do you want a medal. You got an extra 96-192 steel wheels roating. Drop in the ocean. You extended a small highway and made parts of the Cunningham Highway wide enough for a cargo ship but instead left it one lane each way with light posts in the middle of the massive break down lane. Fantastic job. A whopping 1 million bucks for extra buses! I say that must have bought plenty of buses and extra routes to feed into local train stations in the Ipswich area. I'll think about that next time I see a bus in Ipswich. How much do buses go for these days? Has to be atleast 20-30 thousand each if your government spent a million bucks. Mates rates aye bro ::) 129 Million into hospitals.... Honestly... only 129 million for 90 extra beds? In 3 years 1200 new public servants in the Ipswich area and how much was spent on PT.... 4 extra trains and a new bus route? Bravo. Bravo.

If your government was serious about anything they would have spent more money on PT rollingstock/sector and invested more into the education and health sectors for starters. But its okay. You can just keep building roads and highways so people can drive their problems somewhere else :)
