I am somewhat sceptical about this one!  Newman and Public Transport have never mixed before, except for the Eleanor Schonell Bridge.

Im going to say don't even bother, I know some people say that a feasibility study etc must be done, but either way its needed, Newman needs to stop screwing people around, they don't want bus priority or a busway all anybody wants is CAMCOS and if he can put a firm commitment to it then he will get votes.
"Where else but Queensland?"

And even that isn't perfect with the BCC rule that only BT buses can use it.
There is no silver bullet... but there is silver buckshot.
Never argue with an idiot. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

It is significant in the fact that this region is actually receiving attention by a future contender for the Premiership of the state,
in regards to its' transport problems which have been ignored for too long and resulting in the current situation of 44% rail buses instead of trains as part of our rail network.
This for the 3rd highest growth area in Queensland (for the next 20 years) !

The fact that a statement is coming is also significant, as is a confirmed policy announcement to come.
I for one, am very keen to see what transpires.
The duplication issue was not dismissed.

I'm trying not to read too much into it.
The proof will be in the transport pudding.

Too often politicians think the transport funding pudding is a bit like the famous Magic Pudding -- that regenerates itself as a bit is consumed.

If memory serves correct, that one was being planned before Campbell even got in...?
All he's done is buy a few buses and ferries.

And a underused cycle system.

FF, I think Mr Newman was referring to preparation of an infrastructure plan for the state generally, not specifically for the Sunshine Coast.  However, it is important to note that local LNP MPs have said there will be a specific Sunshine Coast infrastructure and transport plan.  A state LNP infrastructure and transport plan is likely to have the same status as Connecting SEQ 2031 or the QIP.  The LNP will have to distinguish itself by committing to timeframes and the means of funding its promises.

I wonder if we will ever see the Sunshine Coast Integrated Transport Plan, as promised by the LNP?  Will it be a wish-list of projects, just like Connecting SEQ 2031?  If it is, how does that make the LNP any different to the ALP when it comes to the provision of PT on the Sunshine Coast?

Pretty much symbolic of the LNP transport policy generally - bogged and going nowhere.
