TRAIN commuters should look for other options between 9am and 3pm today, with industrial action set to disrupt services.

Train services will start winding down from 9am and will not fully resume until after 3pm as drivers meet to discuss a proposed enterprise bargaining agreement with the State Government.

"Substitute buses already operate between Noarlunga Centre and Oaklands interchanges for the line upgrade and these services will continue to operate as scheduled," he said.

"For the period of industrial disruption when train services are not operating, the substitute bus services will be extended to deliver customers to and from Adelaide Rail- way Station."nte

Rail, Tram and Bus Union secretary Ashley Waddell said the Government had offered a pay rise of 2.5 per cent a year over three years but the consensus from the majority of the members was "it doesn't cut the mustard".

"What the State Government is offering in terms of a wage increase is 1 per cent behind the actual rise in the cost of living," Mr Waddell said.

Tram and bus services will not be affected by the industrial action.
