Nerang-Broadbeach Road bus priority
« on: June 09, 2011, 08:29:53 AM »
We recevied in the mail yesterday a DTMR brochure outlining some expansion of bus priority measures along N-B Road.

There is possibly a PDF on the DTMR projects website, but I have not searched for it.

Of interest is the proposed arrangements at the Carrara Markets.  They are planning to divert bus services heading towards Nerang (so the 745, 20 and 20A) via the residential streets to the north of the Gooding Corner giant roundabout, which is the route they used to take before the road was realigned in the past decade.

Heading to Nerang, access would be from a hook turn from the westbound kerbside bus lane (ala King William Street / North Terrace intersection in Adelaide) into a new bus-only access near the Cocos shops.
