Looks like the steam iron has been going on full blast down at TL!

From Monday 6 June, changes will be made to routes 105, 107 and 108 to provide a better service for passengers.

All three services will travel along Fairfield Road before entering the Eastern Busway at Dutton Park, running via the Boggo Road and PA Hospital busway stations, before continuing as normal.

Routes 107 and 108 continue to operate during peak hours only; route 105 operates both peak and off-peak.

Route 105 will also be coordinated with route 104 to provide a 30-minute service frequency along Fairfield Road.

For passengers, these changes mean:

faster journey times and more reliable services
a more direct service to University of Queensland, with connecting routes 109, 139, 169 and 209 at Boggo Road busway station
connections to other services on the Eastern Busway at the Boggo Road busway station
connections to train services at Park Road station (via Boggo Road).

A new timetable for these services will be available soon. Be sure to check back regularly, or call 13 12 30 for more information.

Still looks like the horrible loop is in the 105 and multi-duplication (fold 108 into 105 and remove the loop, put 107 all day etc) but this may be just an interim change with some more major changes coming later on hopefully. You can now transfer to these buses at Park Road! I'm impressed!

They always wanted to do that to the 105/107/108 - I agree it doesn't go far enough though.

I'm confused by this one.  Then what will serve Annerley Rd besides the 112 & 116?  Are they saying that road doesn't need any more?  Off peak the Annerley Rd route is faster than the busway, which is quite indirect.  Moving it into the busway does make sense for the 107 and 108 though.

Yes, but it makes fantastic connections at Park road and serves the PA hospital as well. Much easier access too for those in ill health as the busway has lifts and goes directly via walkway into the hospital building.

This is great stuff. 105 needs fixing up- cut off loop. But so far, VERY IMPRESSED with TL!

Go the steam iron!!!

There might be more changes in the next round. Certainly people on Annerly road have the option to either walk or cycle to the busway/train station at one end, Mater hill busway or BUZ 196 on the other ends. Its a bit of a longer walk I will agree BUT the frequency is unbelievable.

What is also needed is to reposition the bus stops for Ipswich Road services so that there is an express stop at the PAH station.  The current stops are all out of whack - ideally, there should be one in both directions at this location, and at the Centro at Buranda (so one opposite where the current outbound stop is).

I'd also consider just routing the 100, 110 and 115 via the Harrogate tunnel instead of further up to the Gabba, so the stop could be located underneath the station and involve turning in off O'Keefe/Ipswich Rd and a u-turn back out.

IIRC though for buses coming off the EB at the O'Keefe St portal just before Ipswich Rd, theres really only queueing space for 1 bus before they stick back into the busway and potentially block it. The lights would probably need to be rephased as currently there is a bit of a wait when exiting the busway on the 77.
There is no silver bullet... but there is silver buckshot.
Never argue with an idiot. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
