New Market Station

Anyone know what is happening there? A whole new subway or just the entrance getting cleaned up?

Not sure, I believe they've closed off the overpass as well. I don't stop there so I don't know.

Newmarket station is on the current list of CNSU.

There is going to be some landscaping, with a TransLink magic mushroom garden. If you eat one of the mushrooms, it makes you think that that you are getting value for money public transport.

Subway is still closed off, but they have repainted the building and new sign-age from what I saw the other day passing by on the train... oh and lots of mesh.

I wonder why they decided on that new greyish/blueish/tealish colour for the stations that are getting repainted, with all the mesh around it certainly does look prison-ish. (I'm personally a cream and maroon fan)

The bathrooms have been renovated with the one on platform 2(?) [Ferny Grove] being converted to unisex and the other side being converted to a staff only loo.

The entrance to the subway looks quite good, with the entrance to the tunnel having a curving landscaped edge, as opposed to the previous hole in the wall.
