Timetables : Sunshine Coast - The Assessment for Weekday Services

Hello All,

I have attached coloured mark-ups showing the Week Day improvements to the Sunshine Coast.

The services marked in Green highlight pen are new services or extensions to existing services. (8 No.)
The services marked in Pink highlight pen are Rail buses that comprise 44% of our trains from Caboolture to Nambour. (26 No.)
The Pink highlight pen surrounded by Green indicates new rail bus extensions (2 No.)

Summary.
We have a number of additional services to/from the Sunshine Coast and we are grateful to the QR schedulers for these.
They have done a great job under the severe limitation of the single line track from Beerburrum heading north.
However a whopping 44% of Nambour to Caboolture weekday services are still rail buses, down from the former 51.8%.

The big issue that wasn't addressed was the 8:30am arrival time at Roma St in the CBD.
The arrival time was highlighted in media reports but doesn't get a mention in the Community Consultation Report.
Incidentally, 76% of all feed-back was from the Caboolture & Sunshine Coast lines.
We are disappointed that many 8:30am starter's days could be a half hour longer, by having to get the earlier service.

SOUTHBOUND (Daily Mon-Fri)
We have 3 new services in total.
1 is all new at 5:50am,
1 is an extension to the existing Cooroy service, leaving Gympie North at 1:20pm
1 is an extension to an existing rail bus leaving Nambour at 7:20pm.

NORTHBOUND (Daily Mon-Fri)
We have 5 new services in total.
2 are extensions of rail bus services, but using trains from Roma Street to Caboolture, at 4:33am and 1:33pm respectively.
2 are all new services at 11:30am and 8:30pm from Roma Street to Nambour,
1 is an all new service from Roma Street to Landsborough at 6:15pm, and comprises a rail bus from Caboolture to Landsborough.

The Sunshine Coast service improvements are extremely limited by the single line bottleneck from Beerburrum station and north.
