I must admit when I found out about that rule when it applied to me, I did think about rorting it. But I had a conscience. I actually found out about it by accident, I had what I thought was the correct fare but turns out was like 50c short and as the bus stop was all but right outside my door when I realised I was short said I could just run and grab it and be back in less than 30 seconds, but the driver said don't worry he had to take me anyway.
