Sunshine Coast Region - Which routes should be upgraded, & should 620 be BUZ-zd?

The current 'BUZ'-like trunk routes are:

Route 600 is at BUZ-like levels from 6am-7pm Monday-Fri and between 9am-6pm on weekends.  Outside of those times, it drops to a half-hourly frequency till 10pm..  Hourly 'NightLink' on Friday and Saturday evenings (11pm-3am).

Route 626/627 (Tewantin to Sunrise Beach(626)/Sunshine Beach(627) via Noosa) forms 'BUZ'-like frequencies between Noosa and Tewantin from 6:30am-6:30pm before both routes are replaced by half-hourly 620s to Tewantin.

The 'trunk' routes that are not 15 min frequencies are:

*620 Noosa to Maroochydore (Half-hourly from 6am-9:40pm Monday to Friday - limited NightLinks on Friday/Sat (11pm, 1am and 3am))  Weekend frequency has the Route 620 half-hourly frequency reduce to hourly after 6pm till late.

*610 Nambour to Kawana via Maroochydore (Half-hourly Monday-Friday, hourly on Weekends).

*616 Maroochydore to University via Buderim (Half-hourly Monday to Friday 7am - 10pm, hourly on weekends).

Other Routes
All other routes are hourly (or less for 'community/local' services such as Route 639).

From my observations:
There is "traffic" issues at Buderim during various times, so any bus service 'upgrades' will face Traffic issues.  It's already hard enough for drivers of Route 616/Route 617 keeping to schedule during school pick-up hours when the streets of Buderim are congested.

Route 620 may face a bit of peak traffic, but has a clear run at other times.  IMO, Route 620 should be the next upgraded to 'BUZ' levels, which is every 15 minutes like the Route 600.  It should be the 2nd BUZ trunk route considering some buses go out close to full during a weekday (Packed/Standees during School Holidays obviously).

Route 610 - should upgrade the weekend frequency, say half-hourly between 8am-5pm.  Some weekend buses can go out close to full.

Out of all the hourly routes which should be upgraded (IMO).  I would say

Route 602 - Caloundra to Maroochydore via Mountain Creek should be upgraded to half-hourly (Monday-Saturday) considering the recent route split (The Nambour part split off to Route 612).  Patronage may be only average, but the population out in the areas it serves (Aroona, Mountain Creek) may have potential.  More of a put more services and "more" people would come type of gamble.

Great idea. No reason why a Core Frequent Network can't be developed for the Sunshine Coast...

How to distinguish high frequency routes from generic buses though? Can't use BUZ, already taken by BCC.
Hmm...
Negative people... have a problem for every solution. Posts are commentary and are not necessarily endorsed by RAIL Back on Track or its members.

The hours even on the trunk routes needs to be extended. The Sunshine Coast is a tourist areayet the bus stop just on dinner time when people are heading out to restaurants, movies, friends places, etc.

Yes, TRANSLink still haven't really yet rolled out any branding terms (as they had once planned to do a few years back) for their various bus services ie 'Rapid' - for high frequency service etc etc  :conf
Proud to be a Sunshine Coaster ..........
