Perhaps with a 20 minute evolution Ips-Cab express BH-Northgate & Rch-Pet

Pros:
Not nearly as tight a turnaround at Shorncliffe - might be reasonably well received at QR
10 minute frequency possible Darra-Petrie - perhaps with a stagger between Petrie & Caboolture trains.

Cons:
Trains would largely need to be Roma St or South Bank terminators
Doesn't really enable a tiered service to Darra.

Note: I'm not 100% sure about the extra track at Shorncliffe.  There may be safeworking issues with using that.

While I'd love to see more frequent trains on my line, I think there are higher priorities.  Actually, I'd be happy if we had a 20-minute PEAK frequency.

If we're talking about frequency across the board (i.e. when busier lines are at 15-minute frequencies), a 20-minute frequency for Shorncliffe would be an adequate interim measure, but we should be moving towards 15-minute services on EVERY line.

I choose to abstain from votes like this until we hear more from QR about what they intend on doing in the 2nd phase of the timetable update.

Just as an aside, I have a temp job with QR National at the moment (very interesting, btw) but something I've noticed a few times is that some people are still adjusting to the split. I was witness to a case where the group was having trouble working out how to do something, so they phoned a friend and had a long 15 minute chat about it, found the friend could do it, and he agreed to do it for them and email them the stuff they needed, but at this stage they found he worked with the government owned company and so didn't have access to their file/network and instructions over the phone wouldn't work. I don't know how wide spread it is, but I can see this possibly causing some delays in the short term. Just a little fyi.
There is no silver bullet... but there is silver buckshot.
Never argue with an idiot. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Higher priorities?  Yes, some maybe.  But if Albion/W/Toombul/Nundah pax were considered part of this line, it would be the third busiest in Brisbane IIRC.  That could count a share of EJ & Northgate pax.

I must express some suprise as to why people would think that 30 minute frequency is acceptable!  And especially people who are here.

I didn't do it!  I am one of the votes for 15 minute. I don't want to see a mix of 20 minute and 15 minute multiples, too confusing as services fall in & out of phase with each other.  System wide 20 minutes would be acceptable - barely - but I'd rather see 15 minutes accepted as the threshold for a service being considered "frequent".

I am also stunned that anyone on this board would vote for 30 minutes.  The only places where 30 minutes is acceptable are at interurban distance - Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Rosewood.
