Apparently Sunbus wants to switch drivers from a state award to a federal award, which happens to pay less in wages.  The spin that Sunbus puts out is that it is happy to pay the drivers the 'going award rate' and meet all award obligations, leaving out that the new award is inferior, according to the TWU.

QuoteSunbus drivers stage 24-hour strike

Sunbus has confirmed that normal bus services on Queensland's Sunshine Coast will resume tomorrow.

Bus drivers walked off the job at 4:30am (AEST) today, leaving an estimated 12,000 commuters without public transport today.

The 24-hour strike is the result of a break-down in pay negotiations between bus drivers and the Transit Australia Group.

Normal services will resume at 4:30am (AEST) tomorrow.
