Sydney night time buses.

http://www.cityrail.info/timetables/nightride/

So I decided to look up a timetable:

http://www.cityrail.info/timetables/nightride/route_N10

It looks like there is a 7-day hourly bus service from last train to first train to fill in for when there are no trains around!

Should something like this be developed in Brisbane? Maybe all the BUZ routes could run hourly at night?
Would it be worth it?

Maybe not all the BUZ routes, perhaps the most popular ones.. I mean is it worth translink(and the government..) paying drivers to drive routes with not many passengers on the buses? loosing money to operate routes  24/7? Thats just my opinion I don't use any of the BUZ routes so I am not sure what the pax would be..

Definitely not all the BUZ routes. As for patronage, yes, but then again it might be surprising-- nobody thought BUZ would work... run buses every 15 minutes on sundays up until 11pm??? Madness... but it worked.

All of the BUZ routes are popular.

However, we have bigger fish to fry.  The lack of an N150, in particular, is a disgrace.

WOW! Thanks for this info.
Not all of them- I could see maybe the 111 or 555 but not both. Why not just consolidate them?
Some of the night link ones could be added.

Yes there are bigger fish to fry, but hey, why restrict oneself.

This 'new world city' business is looking lame given the state of PT in this city.

Yes, it's been one of my suggestions to turn the 111 into an N150.  Obviously this needs to service the intermediate stops on the busway, but Nightlink is supposed to drop off anywhere, anyway.

Thats right! Now I remember!
It wouldn't hurt to update this, perhaps if someone would make a night network map, like a frequent network map, that would be great.
See, even though there would be bigger fish to fry today (CRR and increased frequency are the biggest priorities IMHO) this could be something worthy of inclusion in to the SEQ 2031 document.

There are posters with such a map.
