Light rail FTW, Would make perfect sense, though honestly we should have just gone heavy rail seeing how much tunnel and viaduct is in the design.

I would say light or heavy rail. Light rail is better suited to on street running through suburbia, but it currently has no network, unlike heavy rail.

The only way I can see heavy rail is a branch from Norman Park towards Carindale.  That part of the Cleveland line isn't that indirect so the journey time is less poor.  Of course, this has inner city capacity constraints.
