As unfair as it seems, if a user fails or can't touch off not only do they cop a penalty fare but there trip counter that decides if they are to get the discount is also reset, therefore canceling your discount.

Well done Translink for finding another way to rip the commuter off!

Diabolical !  This is not good, particularly if a system failure screws the discount.

Thanks for the alert!

Does the counter actually get reset or is it just that that trip isn't counted?

Where did this information come from?

Counter is reset, the information came from my experience last week and then the investigation and refund claim I made and received this morning. I am yet to confirm if this is how it was meant to be implemented i.e. it was designed that way yo maximise revenue or its just a bug? Which (in my opinion) just shows how arrogant TL are at rolling out a discount logic which was not tested as part of the Pilot.

If you received a refund it means it isn't supposed to work that way.

Another bug to add to the list.   :P
