More road building madness

These two news articles I read somewhat infuriate me with our insistent car culture.

Council still insists that we must have a road and cars to get to a new recreational centre.  Sure, buses can use it too, but the figures are in cars.

We have to have another road to the airport, with government claims that it will solve congestion.  Although this one is built by BAC (Brisbane Airport Corporation).

I was a bit surprised that I saw so much road building (and road traffic) from the Airtrain.  I could help but chuckled when the train just cruised by the long lines of gridlocked cars.

If the new airport road solves the congestion problem it will be a world first!!!!!!!!!!  I look foward to listening ot he road reports talk about BOTH access points being congested in say 6 months!!!

$10 million a minute for 6 months.  Got to get me some of that pie!!!
