Gotta love the Dutton Park branch =) You're lucky those signals were working, usually when they try that theres some sort of issue and end up having to turn trains around at Yeerongpilly  :-\

At Roma Street after the rugby and a South Bank only train (What The???) just pulled in at the time the Cleveland was meant to.  The Cleveland train was then announced as being at Bowen Hills and an apologies for delay die go operational issues.

Travelled into town on the 5.38am service from Oxley this morning (about 400 pax as well!).  Shortly after arrival at Roma St, announcement to the effect that 'The next Beenleigh train will now depart from platform 6.  Please move over from platform 4.  There is a signal failure ... '   musical platforms to keep the punters warm no doubt ..   :wi3

South Bank only trains a regular feature on the weekend.  Instead of the Shorncliffe trains running to Corinda, they go to South Bank.

7:14am Redbank to Nambour service had the Rebank-Milton leg cancelled today according to 612 ABC.

Fresh EMUs  ::) were pulled out of the yard to form the service for the Roma Street-Nambour leg this morning at Roma Street

Well another six cars might see some IMU's operating Nambour services instead of the all too frequent EMU sets.

Howdy, at Oxley rail, just observed the first UP train I have seen, EMU16/41 pass through platform 3 Oxley (down main) demo of bi directional capability ...

Thought I was imagining that the UP train was on the main down as  it came around the approach curves to Oxley, PID was showing an express.  Came through platform 3 full pelt as well.  Sign of things to come!!

Presently at Central, all trains through platforms 5 & 6, 3 &4 1 & 2 closed.  This is for an increased maintenance window I understand.

Plenty of notices and announcements about changed gates from the 26th July, also flyers being handed out by staff at gates ... got one, will scan it in later today.

Noticed a weekend Shorncliffe train using Roma St #9.  Not sure if this is the normal way it is done, but wouldn't it be better to use the suburbans than the mains?

IIRC, weekenders are usually South Bank <--> Shorncliffe and use the suburbans.  It's possible that this one was a Roma St starter - or did you see it coming in from the South Bank direction?

No, but I saw people already on the train when I got on it, and had to scratch my head for a moment.

WTN

The Shorncliffe train may have been sitting at the station for some time, hence why there could be people already on it.

The driver of a 175 outbound bus got lost this evening - in a slightly entertaining way. She missed a turn into Logan Rd at Stones Corner, and continued to Old Cleveland Rd (204 route). Passengers soon started asking questions. One was very rude, others were helpful. The driver tried to turn around in local streets filled with really narrow roundabouts and other "traffic calming devices". It was a bit scary to watch - it felt like the bus could crash or get stuck. The driver then tried to service the stop she missed (at Stones Corner) but ended up going past the opposing stop. Eventually she turned around at a nearby large roundabout (at the suggestion of a passenger) and went past the stop she missed. No one got on because the 174 bus from behind has now overtaken us. So not only was the 175 running late, it was trailing behind another bus with a very similar route.

6-car IMUs were sighted on the 12:41pm Roma Street to Nambour service both yesturday and today.  Normally a 6-car EMU is scheduled on this particular service.

I can only wish this would be a permanent allocation for the 12:41pm crowd heading north, rather than a few times a month.  A 'hand-me-down' older IMU100/120 (6-car set) pulled from the Gold Coast Line would suffice, there is enough IMU160s to replace it.

ANY use of suburban sets for services beyond Caboolture is wrong IMHO.  Serious "crossed leg" territory if nature calls, and I certainly wouldn't want to try for the loo dash at Caboolture!

This can only be good news. QR are certainly aware of the "toilet" issue, and I would assume as more IMUs are delivered more will be seen on the North Coast Line.

I was at the Beenleigh Bus Interchange this afternoon 4:00pm-4:12pm. I didn't see the terminating beenleigh train(4:04pm) nor the gold coast train(4:10pm). Checked translink website no information for this delay.

Did you mean heading inbound on the busway?  Or are you saying there was a jam heading outbound after the Cultural Centre station.

Passengers on a platform at central today, had to told repeatedly told to move behind the yellow line over the PA.... maybe they are playing the shame game now instead getting staff to walk up and tell them.
