QuoteQueensland Rail how disgusting
What I just saw is Disgusting I cannot believe that we were rushed of a bus to catch a connecting train there was a lady that was in her 80s who has emphysema was being yelled at by the train stuff to hurry up as she got to the train door they close the door on her and now she's left behind a train station that's ridiculous I am not a part of the group she was with but the staff at Yerongpilly need to be reprimanded for there Behavior and lack of care this isn't on they even yelled at me to hurry up in a agressive and rude manner after I just been in a bus this is a failure that poor woman also the security guards on that train need to be reprimanded for what they was saying about the old lady saying she was old and useless gald they left the bitch behind now that isn't on what a fail and lack of care

I think I would be heavily p%ssed  off if I witnessed that as well  :fp:

Looks like ETCS signalling implementation and upgrades will be implemented along the Northern corridor with planned closures in the coming months. This is stated on Translink's planned closure updates.

Looks like some major work will be taking place at Enoggera this weekend with lots of metal "things" stacked up on the platform.

The platform (middle only of course) was raised at Enoggera). Don't know why this wasn't done years ago when the station was refurbished.

A road over bridge (Mina Pde) at Alderley was also removed.

Is it just me or does it seem a little odd that the Shorncliffe trains can't run when the subs are clearly open north of Bowen Hills for Doomben & Airport lines? Or are they closed north of EJ somewhere?

ozbob

Possibly doing ETCS L2 preparation works on the Shorncliffe line.

ETCS deployment is ramping up. The Shorncliffe line will be highly impacted with closures over the next 2-3 months, due to installation of ETCS2 on that line. (Source: CRR)

Crossing repairs at Narangba Station (shut all weekend), and rail and sleepers to be replaced near Boundary Rd overpass at Narangba.

Sections of rail have been assembled beside the track and are currently being welded into longer pieces in preparation. Also some new concrete sleepers scattered about the place.

It appears they may have retrofitted the lights at Sunshine with new LED ones. Went to get the train last night and the place was lit up like the sun. I don't remember it being that bright.

No shuttle from East Ipswich to Booval is a bit disappointing, anyone doing that trip will now need to backtrack to Ipswich on a bus to get the train to Booval. Of course maybe 10 pax/day do that trip (I'm guessing go card information would tell) so maybe not worthwhile.  :conf

Cross River Rail Travel and Transport Update

Commuters are being urged to plan their Christmas holiday travel well in advance, with track closures required between Christmas Day (December 25) until December 29 to allow for important Cross River Rail works.

The scheduled track closures will be predominately through the inner city, southern lines and on the Ferny Grove line.

The closures will allow vital works for the construction of Brisbane's new underground to be carried out safely and more efficiently.

Works will include excavation and installation of signalling infrastructure between Dutton Park, Park Road and Buranda stations; and signalling and maintenance works between Roma Street and Bowen Hills.

Cross River Rail crews will also be doing preparation works for the new world-class signalling system between Fortitude Valley and Eagle Junction.

Timetable alterations will be in place over the period, with services running to a Sunday timetable on public holidays.

Timetabled buses will replace train services between the affected stations and staff will be on site at key locations to assist commuters.
For more information on the track closures visit our track works page, and to plan your travel visit the TransLink Journey Planner.

Yeronga station extended closure

From late April, Yeronga station will close for approximately 6 months as part of important Cross River Rail construction works.

This is the first in a series of rolling station closures between Fairfield and Salisbury stations.

The exact closure date will be confirmed in the coming weeks.

Find out more about Cross River Rail's Yeronga station construction works.

Introduction of route 109 - your StationLink

To help customers impacted by the upcoming closure and Cross River Rail works, we're introducing a new, temporary route 109 service – your StationLink.

StationLink will service stops close to Moorooka, Yeerongpilly, Yeronga, Fairfield and Dutton Park train stations, before terminating at Boggo Road busway station.

Wherever possible, StationLink will run at a similar frequency to the Beenleigh line trains.

By terminating at Boggo Road busway station, you'll have connections to other high frequency buses to the city or UQ, as well as being a short walk from Park Road train station for connecting trains to the Gold Coast and Cleveland lines, or for travel to the city.

More information, including specific stop locations, will be available in March.

The Ferny Grove Line is not running on its normal scheduled clock face times this weekend. No mention of that unless you check the journey planner.
