In understanding the Bogata transport system more as suggested by Tramtram, I came across their Vision for the City.

Quote?We want a city with more public space for children than for motor vehicles; a high population density and relatively short travel distances; people in public spaces; autonomy and freedom of movement for the children and the elderly; very low levels of noise and air pollution; small children walking out of home to the safety of pedestrian streets; homes with nearby stores, restaurants, movies and cultural activities; abundant parks, pedestrian streets, wide sidewalks, bicycle paths.?

It is in such plain english.  Some pictures/illustrations to go with it would be fantastic.  It is a vision to aspire to and a great litmus test for the current infrastructure being developed around SEQ?  Only projects that deliver on such a vision should be approved.

It was too good to just read and not post.

PR spin machines tend to add to document length;
Your'e not going to get a gov't statement on the crisp!  :is- :-t

That's not the only thing "stolen".
Translink looks like a ripoff of Translink.ca, and the translink swirly symbol looks like a ripoff of the US Department of Transport's symbol.

I don't mind what they copy; Let's hope they copy some good ideas and make them work!

While you are at Translink.ca, check out their cycling planner.
