Commuters want Go Card machine

The Oxley Newsagent has been trying to get go card facilities as well.
Hopeless roll out.

How sad.  There's clearly demand and it's not supplied.  But would Sherwood station have the facilities?

The AVVMs can be used to top up go cards of course.  Patrons want convenience and have been long accustomed to going to their local outlets for the phased out ten trip tickets etc.   Bus patrons don't want to necessarily go to the railway station.  The local newsagent at Oxley often cops commuter anger as people are unable to process go card top ups etc.
It is as though there is a deliberate restriction to access for some.  The folks at Oxley News have made constant direct requests to TransLink re this matter and just get fobbed off. Local member involvement hasn't achieved anything.

The go card roll out is in a state of paralysis.  Fare-lock, distribution-lock, plagued by constant equipment failures, they are clearly unable to sort it.  Tuesday afternoon two of the on gates at Roma St were X, and yesterday morning one of the large gates was open (again).  Folks just strolling through as often is the case.  It is beyond farce!
