New Market Station and Train announcements

Anyone else catch from the New Market station? is the announcement system working?

I might just be going deaf but yesterday afternoon I didn't hear one for a city heading train so I just assumed my iPod was up a tad loud and turned it down and then I didn't hear the one for my Ferny Grove train so I thought I just missed it again but this afternoon I didn't hear one for my Ferny grove train either.....

I seriously doubt i'm that deaf so i'm just wondering if anyone else has noticed?.

The one at Boondall sometimes doesn't work.  Usually people get up from their seats at the 2-minute or arriving announcement and stand at the yellow line.  But occasionally everyone will be sitting on the seats and all-of-a-sudden the train will come under the over bridge - and people jump up.  (Boondall is weird in that it has a concrete over bridge that means that unless you are standing at the platform edge, you can't see or hear the train until it's arriving at the station.)

There was mention of the system at the Shorncliffe/Doomben CRG - and that the plan is to replace it with a better system due to its unreliability.

Fails at Oxley as well.  I can hear them leaving Darra on a good morning though sitting on the platform at Oxley
