Don't know about buses, but the Riverside expressway was still a carpark at 7pm. Not as bad heading across the river, but pretty terrible heading past the city to Toowong.

A couple of days ago the BCC or contractors working for them on the renewal of the corro drive bikeway had a minor hiccup and part of the work underway collapsed, near the Cribb street intersection. This has completely closed the bikeway in both directions to all pedestrians, bikes etc and also one lane of the two lanes outbound of vehicular traffic. There is the added issue that the 5-10k of pedestrians and bikes etc are now routed up from the bikeway to cross at the cribb street intersection to the other side of corro drive and to the gobetween(s) bridge intersection, then back across corro drive, then across the gobetween(s) bridge itself then back down onto the bikeway and vice versa. Traffic lights at Cribb street are under police control. One traffic controller said yesterday it would be fixed by today (Thursday) another said it would be months so I suppose anywhere in between.

Captain Cook Bridge bus delays

Passengers on outbound bus services on the Captain Cook Bridge may experience delays of up to 20 minutes due to congestion from an earlier multiple vehicle traffic crash on the Pacific Motorway, around the Stanley Street off ramp. The crash has now been cleared but residual delays are expected and there is heavy traffic congestion back to Coronation Drive at Toowong.

Inbound delays due to this crash are not expected.

Ipswich Motorway diversion delays at Goodna

There has been an earlier truck crash on the Ipswich Motorway westbound adjacent to William Street. As a result of this crash, the Ipswich Motorway westbound lanes and one lane eastbound at Goodna (near William Street) were closed to traffic. This crash has now been cleared but residual delays are occurring.

There is currently a broken down vehicle blocking the right lane eastbound on the Ipswich Motorway at Redbank.

All Westside Bus Company services from Goodna station and all 500 services are delayed between 10 minutes up to 40 minutes due to the congestion on this route and the diversion routes.

School bus services are also expected to be delayed 20-30 minutes.

These delays may worsen leading into peak hour.

It would be faster to bicycle down Coronation Drive. 15 minute trip plus 30 minute delay = 45 minutes.

The frequency with which this is happening, the length of time taken to untangle the mess and the number of routes affected makes this very embarrasing. It also, no doubt, is turning people away from public transport.

Huh, don't know if there was a notice on Translink or not, but yesterday morning at about 8am, a truck hit overhead wires on Main Avenue at Coorparoo. The road was closed to through traffic and all buses were continuing in on Old Cleveland Rd. Not sure if routes like 200/209 were heading straight to the busway, or if they stayed on surface roads.

I wouldn't go believing that list, I had routes such as the 362 in it which doesn't even operate that late in the evening, let alone anywhere near the city.

But I did notice the line of buses when I went through on a 109. Didn't notice the broken bus though.

Veolia

Affected outbound services will exit the busway at Woolloongabba and travel along Logan Road, servicing the temporary stop near Cowley Street before continuing as normal.

This temporary stop is about a 400m walk from Buranda busway station for customers who usually get off at Buranda.

Inbound services are not affected.
Park Ridge

All route 540 services will service the Woolloongabba busway station before continuing as normal. Passengers travelling to Buranda should connect to services at the PA Hospital or Woolloongabba.
