Yeah, Settlement Road was closed from Mungarie St over to The Gap for a period. Not sure how long exactly, but the fire is out now. It was going for a while and was producing a lot of smoke. They seemed to have it mostly under control when I went out at around 6pm, though in the darkness the hill between Keperra and The Gap was a pretty sight with the flashing lights from the firies up on the fire trail on the top of the hill and lots of little specs of fire scattered all over the side of it. Apparently it was started by a guy burning off some rubbish in his backyard...?
There is no silver bullet... but there is silver buckshot.

yeah theres a couple of houses up on that hill.....if you take a bushwalk up there you can see the backyard of that house....would also be very tinder up there due to the recent dry weather.

If BT weren't so pig-headed in retaining that outdated numbering system, we could actually start implementing some stop naming standards and utilise HASTUS stop IDs to their full potential.

A question nikko...who is in charge of the timetable dispays at the regular stops? TL or bt?
Im picking up some minor ( but need fixing) probs at some of the stops. Need to know who i should contact.

Funnily enough, this is actually to do with why the old numbering system is still used...

BT look after their own stops entirely. Outside of the BCC area, TL look after the timetables/signage and local councils usually look after the actual stop infrastructure.

Are these problems with the little A3 stop-specific timetables?

Oh yeah true.

Depending on where it is, they could just be waiting for the rest of the network review changes to be in place before printing/installing new ones.

It's how they plan to reduce the number of buses through the Cultural Centre, simply fuse two together and you get 50% less buses  :wi3

Really?  Still that multi-level BS going on?  :fp:  Should just transfer all bus infrastructure and updates to TL itself, get BT's dirty hands off it.  Yes BT, you are a dirty dirty organisation/bureaucracy and still pulling silly c%ap like this years later.  Councils should never ever run public transport! Ever!
