One of the problems with AM radio has been the difficulty in listening on the trains.  With the commencement of digital radio (DAB+) it seems that the problems might be overcome.  I have purchased a DAB+ radio and will be doing some testing later this week. Initial reports on 612 ABC Radio Brisbane suggest that it works well on the trains.

Please post any reception reports here!  Thanks.

Did a test of the DAB+ radio on the train heading in to town this morning.  Worked fine except for Toowong and in the tunnel between Roma St and Central (left the train at Central).  I had to keep the aerial fully extended though.  I would expect very small DAB+ radios would be around the corner that may use the ear piece as an aerial or something like that.

It will be handy for some who like to listen to AM stations that previously couldn't whilst on board.
