Bus to Airport

Just wondering if people think there should be a bus service to Brisbane Airport when the Airtrain is not running?
Taxi drivers and the transfer operators would not like it because it would take business away from them, but on the other hand, passangers could simply be charged the full (i.e. Non-subsidised) fare, which would probably still be less than what the taxi ($50-60!) and transfer operators charge. And you could use your goCard....
Negative people... have a problem for every solution. Posts are commentary and are not necessarily endorsed by RAIL Back on Track or its members.

How about just running the Airtrain later?
Evening peak service to Enoggera* 2007 - 7tph
Evening peak service to Enoggera* 2010 - 4tph
* departures from Central between 16:30 and 17:30.

Or catching a taxi to a nearby non-Airtrain station?

From what I understand, when Airtrain first started up, the locals in the area kicked up a stink about having trains running past late at night, they were claiming noise issues, so a curfew of sorts, think it was about 7pm for the last train back then, was setup to satisfy the residents in the area.  Most recently however they were able to have the last train at 8pm.

Also, Airtrain being a private company and therefore paying QR for the trains and crew, can run what they like when they like, and charge for however much they want.
