In MX this afternoon there was an article about 88 new bus service being introduced soon with the reason being that there were 125 new buses. I would like to know then why there have been no major service additions to the rail network over 20 new trains have been introduced int he past 2 years yet there have really been no major service upgrade's even with the new north coast and gold caost duplications practically no new services have been added is there a major timetable change due this year?
"Where else but Queensland?"

There have actually been quite a few extra services added in the last few years. Although considerably more are needed!

Examples of new services:
Enhanced Gold Coast & Airport peak service.
Extra early morning Ipswich, Caboolture, & Doomben Line service.
Extra Ipswich & Caboolture Line am peak services.

The additional trains should also mean that the % of total trains required for service is decreased, resulting in less cancellations due to rolling stock unavailability.
Evening peak service to Enoggera* 2007 - 7tph
Evening peak service to Enoggera* 2010 - 4tph
* departures from Central between 16:30 and 17:30.

Interesting. They seem to have been removed, as I can only see timetables from 23rd Feb. (Unless I've got a caching problem).

Just checked.. They are there.. You may need to scroll down.. The first will be for the 109, 209, 169 to UQ. There are about 10 areas with new timetables starting April 27th. ( look for the pink links on right of page )

(this post is originally from BA) Is anyone else's 130 timetable missing the page listing inbound weekday services in the late afternoon/evening?
