Currently just gotten moving again on train just inbound of Windsor.

We need to have/maintain a model of holding trains at stations, not between them. I appreciate that Windsor in to Bowen Hills is a bit of an edge case, but it's super frustrating knowing that there are frequent buses 300m away from me that I could've hopped on if the train was held at the station.

Edit to update: stopped again on the hill. Gold Coast train to our left started moving as we stopped, so that'll be another few minutes.

Upgrading request to a model of reversing the train back into the station.

Bowen Hills P1 as normal. Feels slower going to FV. Stopped just past the tunnel. Suspect we're running on red lights.

Trains going northbound on the P2/P4 tracks, so that's OK.

Edit: just picked up a Springfield train alongside us on the P3 tracks.

At FV. All platforms seem to be in conventional use.

Edit2: Central and Roma St as normal. Looks like the fault is fixed and we're down to residual impacts.

Ho hum... Just sign the QR contract yet again... :hg

Mind telling me how privatising would actually fix any of these issues?

Great question. Let's have an EOI process and put that question to the candidate operators and QR itself. Fantastic idea!

It wouldn't. Both the best (TransPerth) and worst (QR), IMO at least, rail systems in Australia, are publicly-owned and run. Ownership is irrelevant, competence is, and that is what QR seems to be seriously lacking.

#Metro

^ QR is incompetent... so let's sign them on again.

Not sure if there was any announcements about this online, but the 4:07 pm Ipswich - Kippa-Ring train arrived 4 minutes late at Central, stopped for 2 minutes before Northgate, and was stopped for a while at Geebung station (long enough for the next kippa-ring service to overtake) and in the end it was 19 minutes late by the time it branched off at Petrie.
Do I really need to clarify?
Sarcasm and rhetorical questions don't translate perfectly into written form, do they?

Mayne yard was full of trains ... once upon a time another unit would have been turned out and train ran, even if late ..
