UPDATE at 5:00 PM | TRAINS are moving again on the Gold Coast following an earlier police incident at Robina.

Services were suspended between Nerang and Varsity Lakes after a person was reportedly hit by a train.

The incident is believed to have happened at Robina station and it's understood the victim died at the scene.

Buses were called in to replace trains and transport passengers between stations for more than two hours.

The incident has, however, since been resolved and trains have resumed services in both directions.

The next train to Roma St is at 2:15 (Ferny Grove bound) which isn't so bad but still won't make the Doomben connection as it left 3 mins earlier.
