Any one else concerned about the constant mechanical issues?   It really is becoming an unreliable service sadly.

When low frequency services cancelled it really is a problem for those intending passengers.

Definitely concerned ozbob.....for bus services that are consistently messed around because of 6-10 min rail delays.
Im seeing effects everywhere.....615/605`s forced to wait 10+mins....which results in flow on delays/cancellations to route 600 at both ends.
Late arriving trains resulting in 50min waits for residents of Kallangur/Dakabin who use routes 685/683.....routes which are struggling as it is....late connecting trains is the last thing they need to try and grow patronage....and then theres the late arriving trains to richlands where people miss their 460.....people who are genuinely trying to do bus-rail in the BT area but cant pull it off due to poor reliability of trains...
We ALL need to realise that these delays are actually 'damaging' the feeder services...decreasing patronage instead of increasing it....reverse effect...

probably best to do a poll/separate thread to find out many members are actually concerned about these mech issues.......most would probably be neutral as they cant decide between LNP or QR/ALP as to who is responsible.
There seems to be certain few that are not concerned....pretty easy to identify them by their posts in support of QR...bagging the media outlets...and/or trolling of anyone who suggests QR lose their contract...

I have a response to those certain few....this is  a post on QR facebook dated 24.08

I have been to many countries to all of which I have traveled on their train systems. My home country...more to the point...QLD RAIL provides the SLOWEST....LONGEST intervals between trains...most EXPENSIVE (airport)...mechanical issues regularly and consistant cancellations. Not to mention...getting booted off half way home from brisbane to gold coast at Beenleigh from a major sporting event and packed onto buses at 11pm at night on a week night for "line repairs". Terrific planning and squedualing QLD RAIL. I have heard reports on the news about the debarkle with the drivers...time tables...numerous cancellations in peak hour..consistant mechanical issues etc. I don't know how one could screw it up??? It does not compare to anywhere else in the western world? I recommend tourists and friends to drive....embarrassing....embarrassing EMBARRASSING!!!!

And by keeping with good form these 'certain few' would simply call this paying QR passenger a dimwit for not fully knowing the real political reasons as to why their service is the way it is..telling them to stop complaining......well those 'certain few' need to step into reality and realise that people don't care about the why/how,...they just want a proper functioning train system...
