Reported service disruptions rail - no longer in use

There are now 5 evening cancellations, two on Ferny Grove Line, two on Shorncliffe, and the last Cleveland Line. Not a good evening for commuters.

There was also an incident this morning around 7:40am at Bowen Hills. As I was existing the station a train load of passengers were being detrained on platform 3 and were moving across to platform 1.

Ipswich line service disruptions

Services on the Ipswich line between Milton and Sherwood have been suspended due to a vehicle hitting the Sylvan Rd rail bridge, Toowong.

Some express services are running via South Brisbane direct to Corinda.

All other services are suspended until after the bridge is assessed. The bridge inspection is likely to occur about 3pm.

Ipswich trains are currently suspended due to a report of a truck hitting a rail bridge in Goodna.

Services may resume once the bridge is inspected. A bridge inspector is due on site about 4.30pm

Special charms like this stop these incidents. 

Ipswich Line is the worst for bridge strikes. No doubt about it.

Airport line services are suspended due to a points problem at Eagle Junction.

There are delays of up to 45 minutes at this stage.

Later edit: Report on ABC 612 radio that a 'security threat' has been made on operations Caboolture and north.  Police need to check it out.

A bomb threat has caused delays of up to 40 minutes for passengers travelling through the Caboolture railway station.

A police spokeswoman said threats had been made about a dangerous device being placed near the station, and officers were now checking the tracks to ensure the area was safe.

Queensland Rail notified police of the threat just after 5pm.

Translink warned commuters to expect delays of up to 40 minutes as services were not travelling through Caboolture station.

A Translink spokesman said the disruptions affected the Caboolture and Sunshine Coast lines.

TransLink has been advised by Queensland Rail that due to a reduction in speed limit between Beenleigh and Ormeau there will be minor delays to Gold Coast line rail services. Delays are likely to be up to 5 minutes on rail services operating in both directions.
