Gold Coast line trains are suspended in both directions between Beenleigh and Helensvale stations due to a police incident. Customers can expect delays of 60 minutes.

Alternative transport is being arranged to convey customers in both directions between Beenleigh and Helensvale stations.

Commuters in Brisbane's north and further afield are facing significant delays on their Monday morning trip to work.

Trains on the Airport, Caboolture, Doomben, Redcliffe Peninsula, Shorncliffe, and Sunshine Coast lines were delayed 15 minutes in both directions after a track fault at busy Eagle Junction station.

Translink announced the fault about 4.30am but it was still affecting passengers after 7am.

It was also slow going for motorists heading into the city from the south, who were also facing delays of 15 minutes thanks to heavy congestion on the Pacific Motorway at Loganholme. Three bus routes were affected.
