Re: Rail fail cancellations continue

Good Morning,

A much better effort to actually deliver the cut down rail timetable yesterday.

Some delays as a consequence to another signal fault at Strathpine,  other than that services on most lines seemed to run on time.

Was this just a lucky day or have the problems with train service delivery been sorted?

' Some days are diamonds, some days are stone ' ...

It would be nice if the authorities could actually explain the inconsistencies in service delivery.  TransLink, Queensland Rail and TMR are failures.

There needs to be a radical overhaul of how public transport is delivered in SEQ.  It is a festering mess.

The 9.29am Roma Street to Gympie North train has terminated at Fortitude Valley due to a mechanical issue. Gympie North customers will be conveyed to the connecting Caboolture train which departed Fortitude Valley at 9.39am.

Th 9.39am Fortitude Valley to Caboolture train will experience delays of up to 15 minutes due to this mechanical issue. This train now due to arrive at Caboolture station at 10.41am.

As a result customers travelling further will transfer on to the 10.56am Caboolture to Nambour train, where they will be conveyed on to a replacement rail bus for travel between Nambour and Gympie North stations.
