I love how the Spokesman talking to Brisbane Times put it.  "Idiot of the week!"

He'll probably try to sue QR now!

Sounds like things are a bit chaotic.  I'm glad I caught an early train.  We only had a 5-10 minute delay.

Some trains are now being rerouted via the exhibition loop.

THOUSANDS of commuters will be late for work this morning as delays again disrupt the Brisbane train network.

A point failure at 7.15am near Bowen Hills Station, inner north-Brisbane, is causing the chaos.

"They've fixed the problem but the flow-on effects are causing delays," a Translink spokesman said.

Commuters on all lines can expect delays of up to 30 minutes until service times return to normal around 9.30am.

The spokesman said virtually all train lines across the network will be effected.

Got caught up in that this morning while on my way to Fortitude Valley.  Scheduled arrival was 8:43am, actual arrival was 9:12am (when I got through the gates), going by my Go Card. Took approximately 15 minutes to travel from South Brisbane to Roma Street, then another 15 minutes to travel from Roma Street to Fortitude Valley.
